This autumn the Sixth form returned to visit Berlin for a second time – and on this trip enjoyed much better weather, and made time to take in some more unusual sights.

It was also the time of the Berlin Festival of Light – a several week long event in which popular landmarks and buildings in the city are illuminated with state of the art lights and projections.

A great place to find inspiration that we hadn’t been to before is the Art Deco inspired complex of buildings called Hackesche Höfe. It’s a mix of shops, cafes and galleries – as well as a vintage Kino – a German Cinema.
During our 3 hour guided tour of Central Berlin we were able to see many famous landmarks and government buildings
