Year 12 Short single-camera films from 2019.

In Spring we undertake a popular project for the Year 12 Media students – to write, produce and direct a short film inspired by or in the style of ‘Black Mirror. Originally created & written by Charlie Brooker, episodes can be watched both on Channel 4 and on Netflix. They are usually short stories about mans misuse of technology and often have a twist in the tale – similar to the vintage television show The Twilight Zone famous on American TV in the 1960’s.

This project requires students to come up with an original idea, then storyboard and organise filming. They create the short film primarily on their own but can enlist the support of others to help with filming and recording sound. The final videos are edited using Final Cut Pro or Serif Movie plus.
