This series of tutorials is all about putting together a simple idea for a movie poster – first drawn out in rough by hand – then moving onto a digital version, but using Powerpoint instead of a design software package like Affinity Designer. I use the desktop version of powerpoint – the features are slightly different in the online version.

First – you need to sketchout your rough poster idea:

Next the idea is to put together a straightforward digital version of the same idea – and for this i’m using the desktop version of powerpoint. This video is a bit longer, so make sure you pause often and take things step by step – I don’t intend for you to watch it all in one go!
